Our Principles Define Our Process
When you combine a sound procedure with the right belief system, it just plain works. While interactive and print based solutions may differ greatly in the details of their development, certain principles and processes guide all of Imulus' engagements. When clients relay stories of past projects that havev gone awry, typically the reason is the lack of a formal and effective approach. By adhering to a good course of action on even the most simple of projects, Imulus ensures every solution achieves its goals.
1. Discover
Imulus begins each project by gathering as much information as possible about the objectives, the company and the target market. Imulus will work to define areas such as strategic positioning, target audience, corporate identity guidelines, technical requirements, use-cases and user types. Areas of discovery will vary by project type, but the purpose is the same—to discover ways we can most positively impact your organization. After the form of Technical Specifications, a Design Brief or both. These documents will drive the direction of design and development and also serve as a point of reference to measure the success of the solution.
2. Ideate
Once the Design Brief and Technical Specifications have been completed and approved, Imulus will utilize the data gathered in the Discovery phase to develop creative solutions that meet these requirements. Typical deliverables for this phase include Web site maps, wireframes, process diagrams and use cases. working in this way, Imulus is able to deliver solutions that are not only creative and sophisticated, but also get results.
3. Create
This phase typically involves the creation and review of design. Based on our discussions, we will build the design and then review it with you in order to fine tune it to your specifications. Independent of the design process, the back-end technology solutions will be developed from the blueprints produced in the Ideation phase and presented to you for review.
4. Produce
Here we bring the chosen design concept to life by readying print-based design solutions for press and integrating Web site designs with back-end solutions. When the site is completed, the beta Web site will be posted on the development server for testing by Imulus and the client. Any unforeseen inconsistencies will be defined at this point and revised before launch.
5. Launch
When interactive projects reach final approval the site is moved to the live server and officially launched. Print-based solutions are printed and delivered.
